To promote collaboration among New York University alumni and showcase their talent to the industry at large, the Tisch West Alumni Council and Writers Lab West created the Web Series Showcase.

Theo Travers '99 (BFA, Kanbar, DDW)

Theo recently moved to Los Angeles after spending five years working in the field as a television news reporter. Being an on-air correspondent in the southeast allowed for many unique experiences -- such as riding with undercover police on drug busts and prostitution stings and interviewing President Barack Obama one-on-one. Theo was selected for the 2009 Guy Hanks and Marvin Miller Screenwriting Program sponsored by Dr. Bill Cosby. He currently works for Nickelodeon in their current series live action department. Theo is also the creator and co-sponsor of the 2010 NYU Tisch West Web Series Showcase.
